This explains what we collect, what we never collect, and who else sees it. The short version: we read what is already public about your practice, and nothing at all about the people you see.

Who we are

Threefold is a service for licensed mental health clinicians, at trythreefold.com. In this policy "we" and "us" mean [company name], of [registered address].

If you want to reach a person about anything here, write to hello@trythreefold.com.

What we never collect

We do not collect, process or store any information about your clients or patients. Everything we read is your practice's public business presence. We are not a HIPAA business associate, we do not sign business associate agreements, and you must not send us protected health information through this service, the editor, the support form or any other route.

If you believe you have sent us client information by mistake, tell us and we will delete it and confirm when it is gone.

What you give us

Only what the service needs to work:

  • Your email address, so you can sign in and so we can send you a verification code.
  • Your name, your practice name and how you are connected to it, if you choose to tell us.
  • Anything you type into the editor, which becomes the words on the website we build for you.
  • Photographs you upload, which are published on that website.
  • Whether you are a current subscriber, and when that started.

What we read from public sources

To tell you what somebody looking for a clinician finds today, we read what is already public: your website, your Google Business Profile listing, and your profiles on directories such as Psychology Today. We read these the way any visitor would. We do not sign in to anything on your behalf and we do not read anything behind a login.

We keep a record of what we found, so we can show you what changed when we look again.

If you connect your Google Business Profile

Connecting is optional and you are asked each time. If you do, Google tells us which business listings your account manages, so we can show you the one this applies to. We only ever act on the listing you point us at.

You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard, which destroys the token we hold and withdraws the permission at Google so it cannot be used again.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of companies to run the service. They act on our instructions and may only use what we send them to do the job we send it for:

  • OpenAI — writes the words for your site and checks what an AI assistant says about your practice.
  • Google — the listing, the page speed check and the typefaces your site uses.
  • DataForSEO — how often people search for what you do, in your area.
  • Resend — sends your verification code and any email we send you.
  • Fly.io — runs the service and stores its data.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anybody else's advertising.

How long we keep it

Your account and the site we built for you are kept while your account is open. A scan of a practice that never signed up is kept for up to twelve months so that coming back does not mean starting again, and is then deleted.

Ask us to delete your account and we will delete it, and the site with it, within thirty days.

Cookies

One cookie, which keeps you signed in. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie and no third-party tracker on this site. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you are not asked.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@trythreefold.com and we will answer within thirty days.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to how we use your information, or to complain to your data protection regulator.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change matters to you, we will email you about it rather than hope you notice.
